RICHARDSON, TEXAS – August 13, 2024 – Kalkomey, a leading provider of online recreational safety education in North America, today announced that it has appointed Will Weatherford, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Weatherford Capital, to the company’s Board of Directors. 

Mr. Weatherford brings nearly two decades of experience to the Kalkomey Board. He currently co-leads Weatherford Capital, an investment firm focused on business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) companies that seek to solve real-world problems with purpose and innovation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Weatherford served in the Florida Legislature, where as Speaker of the House he was a strong advocate for free enterprise and education reform as a route to social mobility. He is presently Chairman of the University of South Florida’s Board of Trustees and serves on the Boards for The Florida Council of 100 and the National Council for the American Enterprise Institute. Along with Mr. Weatherford’s appointment, Weatherford Capital is making a strategic investment in Kalkomey.
